Wrong Permalink for Imported Posts

    I’m developing a large website that uses FWP to aggregate content from several sources. Mid-way through this project, we decided to start from scratch with a new design. At this point, our original dev site had 5,400 posts created from FWP.

    I’ve tried using an array of CSV import/export plugins to move those posts to our new dev site, and they import fine, however every imported post uses an internal permalink, whereas we setup FWP to point all links to the original, external source.

    How can I import these posts and retain the proper permalinks?

    It turns out our feed id’s in the wp_postmeta table didn’t match between the sites. Once this was fixed, we were good to go. Many thanks to the author, Charles, for emailing us back with this tip.
