Wrong podcast file links

    Hello

    I am using version 1.15.2 of this plugin on a site with no problems.

    I have set up two versions of 1.16.4 on a new X site, but this version seems to mess up the podcast file URLs.

    On my live X site I have tried the new hosting service. I can play my episode – but the playlink from the website and in the feed podcast is wrong.

    On my staging X site I have not activated hosting – but the episode links are still getting wrong.

    This could be a plugin conflict. Which plugins could mess with file URL’s?

    Anyone else seeing this? – please advise

    Update:

    I tried to deactivate all other plugins on staging site. Didn’t help.

    I then reverted back to 1.15.2 (which works on another install) but I get the same problem:

    Podcast episode links are wrong.

    I checked with FTP, and ‘/podcast-download/X’ directory doesn’t exist … ?

    Update #2:

    Is anyone else rrunning SSP on WP 4.8 with succes ?

    The plugin works for me on a server with WP 4.7.5. My troubles are with a server on WP 4.8.

    Maybe the new audio widget in WP 4.8 is interfering?

    Solution !

    After hours of troubleshooting I found the solution here.
    Yes my host is WP Engine ??

    You can delete the thread or leave for other server noobs like me.

    Hi @adjunkten,

    Yes the media playing or downloads not working is almost always either an SSL cert issue or caching from either your server or caching plugin.

    Sorry we couldn’t get to this earlier for you, but glad it’s all worked out now.
