• Hello,
we are currently having a problem with our sitemaps. All post type are indexed on the specific “post” sitemap si it generate a lot of issues with google search. Indeed we can see on the link that I shared strange urls like “/a11826e32bed9810387f6fba6bb00284-472159/” which is actually an “oembed_cache” type post. Have you an idea why this appends and how can I fix this ?

    Thanks for your help

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, that should indeed not be happening. Interesting that in the news sitemap these oembed cache posts do not appear… Have you tried disabling and re-enabling inclusion of Posts in the sitemap settings?

I also notice that posts starting with /jeux/ are in the Posts sitemap too. I suspect these are a different post type: “Game”? If so, these should not be in the post sitemap either…

Could you tell me if there is another plugin that could be affecting different post types, maybe to make them appear in the RSS Feeds or something?

    Hi,
I hadn’t try to disabled and re-enabled posts inclusion so I just try it but same result.
Yes, game is a custom post type and recently they also are in the post sitemap.
We used Rank Math for our SEO but we have disabled their sitemap option.

and recently they also are in the post sitemap

Do you know since when? Was there an update of another plugin or your theme? I can not explain why any different post type that Posts would be present in the Posts sitemap other than a conflict with another plugin or theme…
