Hiya I’ve been using the cart for a while now and I’ve just noticed from an order that a customer hs paid the wrong price £25 for a product. I’ve then further checked the product price and it is correct where it is set at £15 for the product. There is nowhere in the code that sets the price at £25, so I don’t know whats going on.

Furthermore I have tested trying to buy the same product and the correct price is there. But somehow this incorrect price has been used at some point as the order says states.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Hi yandoos, can you share with us your shopping cart URL so that we can check?

Do you have or have you ever had any sipping cost added?

    Kind regards

    Thank you for your reply,

    The url is: https://annejones.org/?page_id=46

The specific product was: Peace & Harmony Symbol Pendant £15.00

I have specific shipping costs added to each product individually but also have an over £50 and free shipping setup in settings.

    Thank you

Hi yandoos, I did a test myself with the product mentioned above Peace & Harmony Symbol Pendant £15.00. When I click on the product it shows £15.00 plus £3.50 a total of £18.50.

Unfortunately I can’t reproduce the amount of £25.00.

To me it is working correctly.

Have you experienced this more than once?

    Kind regards

    Thanks for your help,

No I’ve only experienced this once on this occasion. I have also tried and simply cannot replicate that behaviour.

I think perhaps at one point over a month ago maybe the price was set at £25 but it was changed to £15 by me and manually to the product in question. Since then there has never been a problem until this one occurance.

This may seem like a silly question but I’m cluthing at straws to find out why, but could it have something to do with older local cache versions of the website that this customer may have stored?

    Thank you

Hi yandoos, it is very challenging to work an issue like this one without recreating it again.

This may seem like a silly question but I’m cluthing at straws to find out why, but could it have something to do with older local cache versions of the website that this customer may have stored?

It’s a possibility but once again without recreating the issue you could think of many scenarios.

The most probable scenario would be the one you mentioned above

I think perhaps at one point over a month ago maybe the price was set at £25 but it was changed to £15 by me and manually to the product in question.

Because this question is based on an issue that only happened once and most probably will not happen again, you could mark this support thread as resolved and if it happened again in the future open a new one.

    Kind regards

Thank you very much. I’ll monitor it closely and fingers crossed it was just a one off.

    Thanks
