Wrong return for {{NAME}} keyword

  • Just started using this plugin. Running some test emails I notice that anywhere I use the {{NAME}} keyword it returns the email.

    For example, I use the following format:

    Hello,
    Your friendly Subscriber Bot here!
    {{NAME}} ({{EMAIL}}) just joined our tribe.

    But the actual message ends up looking like this:

    Hello,
    Your friendly Subscriber Bot here!
    [email protected] ([email protected]) just joined our tribe.

    It plugs in the email where I want the name. Also does this for emails sent to subscribers.

    Any help on how to fix this?

    Can you please check what’s the name set for “[email protected]”?

    You can check it from Email Subscribers > Audience.

    If the name is set as “[email protected]”, it will display as “[email protected]”. You can edit it and check once again.

    Sorry I was just using [email protected] as an example. The issue I’m currently having is that regardless of what I put in the NAME field, the notifications all display the email address where I use the {{NAME}} tag.

    For example, if I fill in the fields like this:

    Name: John Smith
    Email: [email protected]

    The welcome email is formatted like this:

    Hi {{NAME}}
    Thanks for subscribing to my blog!

    But it comes out like this:

    Hi [email protected]
    Thanks for subscribing to my blog!

    It plugs in the email instead of the name. Does that make sense? Appreciate the help.
