    Hi Sybre,

I activated Yoast SEO Framework at the same time and then deactivated Yoast so that only SEO Framework is activated. The monitor states that “The?robots.txt file is not handled by The SEO Framework.”

Is there an easy way to force the SEO Frameworks Robots file to be live? It might help to have the option to reset the Robots file in the Robots section of the settings or something that forces the SEO Frameworks Robots file to be live when switching from another plugin to SEO Framework.

I’ve noticed this problem before when testing other SEO plugins. I can’t figure out how to force the SEO Framework Robots file. I tried resetting the settings, and that did not work. I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, and that did not work either.

    This request is for alcoholrecoverysteps.com.

    Thanks for your help.

I tried adding one to the root directory but got an error message stating, “The?robots.txt?file is static or overwritten in another way. Consider deleting the?robots.txt?file from your home directory folder because The SEO Framework handles this appropriately.”

I will leave it in the root directory until you confirm that I have the suitable dynamic robots file.

It would be good to know what the default robots.txt is supposed to look like as well. I may have found a way to add it using another plugin. It wouldn’t have been good if there was a way to force the robots file in the TSF settings. I spent quite a bit time farting around with this.
