    Hi,

It’s not a good idea to mix plugins that overlap – they won’t have been tested with eachother, and in case of a problem, it’ll be hard to untangle. (And as that’s a commercial plugin that competes with our paid version, I can’t see the code to investigate if it is interfering).

Anyway…. please replace your version of our plugin with this version: https://we.tl/t-z0nzYoKrN2 , and then let me know if you see the problem occurring again. I think I see a theoretical way it could occur in the case of a WooCommerce session storage failure, and this version should close that off.

Thanks, I’ve uploaded a new version of the plugin, we’ll test it and I’ll let you know.

Hi, Unfortunately, the problem has recurred. The same customer, with the same address, placed one order on which VAT was charged. Two minutes later, they placed another order and VAT was not charged :/

    Order with VAT – https://ibb.co/3RRm1Rb

Thank you. I will get back to you.

To be clear, the *second* order is the *correct* one, yes?

Please can you try this updated version? https://we.tl/t-IvGDesRPoE

Going through it all again, I discovered that a particular WooCommerce function that is documented as “Returns true when viewing the checkout page” actually returns true in some other circumstances too (I’ve logged an issue for this). The updated version linked above adjusts our code to recognise what it actually does, and this could affect your case.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your answer.

The first order is correct – https://ibb.co/wLxm419. When the user is from the US, VAT should not be charged.

Second order is wrong – https://ibb.co/3RRm1Rb – VAT has been charged for a user from the US.

I’ve uploaded a new version of the plugin, we’ll be testing it, thanks.

Thank you. N.B. You seem to have swapped “first” and “second” around, if you look at the order times in the screenshots.

No instances of the problem in the last fortnight, presumably?

    Hi,

We haven’t had such problems lately, but we’ve had few orders from the US. I think for now we can close the task. Thank you.
