Wrong URL, how to change?

    Hello, on a website I host I want to change the URL for the gallery’s but it won’t change after I renamed the gallery name. I search on with Google and in this board but could not find the solution.

    Case:
    So let’s say I own a gallery named ‘gallery001’ the url is: /gallery/galler001
    After changing the name to ‘gallery correct name’ the URL still stays : /gallery/galler001 and only the name displayed is ‘gallery correct name’.

    Using WP 6.5.2, Theme: DIVI, Latest FooGallery (Free), PHP8

    Hi @digiscrap

    It’s important to note that the gallery name is not linked in any way to the page URL/permalink and so changing the gallery name will not lead to the change of the slug of a page URL/permalink.

    Your answer did not help me but activated me to look for the ‘slug’ again…. and I did not see that in first place. But after a couple of minutes I thought about the dropdown on the right upper corner, the default dropdown for other WP display options… and there I found the ‘slug’ so after activating that I could change the slug for every gallery and now it is working correct.
