Wrong Version Number?
-
I have the version 3.4.0 of Print Friendly that WordPress installed on June 6. I like it–works great–no ads in Firefox or Chrome.
Wordfence reports that there are 11 differences in the pf.pfp file and 1 difference in the readme.txt file betweeen the version installed on my site and the version in the WordPress Plugin repository. I downloaded that one and did a file comparison. They are quite different.
Should the one in the current repository have been reversioned 3.4.1, or is it a hacked version of 3.4.0?
Based on the latest comments here saying there are now a lot of ads, I don’t think I want to install the current version 3.4.0 from the repository. I’ll keep the one I have that doesn’t show ads. It seems like the one in the repository was hacked.
In future, please update the version information and list all the changes in the change log, or check the validity of the download file in the repository from time to time.
