• Hi,

I managed to connect your plugin to cloudlfare r2 storage by following you guide to connect within minio , the most of the things are working fine but the plugin is wrongly File does not exist on server error on some files but in actual the file exists on the sever and when i click on Copy from Bucket to Server it gives error that There were errors when downloading the media from bucket. however the file gets copied on the server. this is happening with existing files on cloudflare bucket however there is no issue with newly uploaded files through WordPress, please tell me how this issue can be resolved ?

    Hi @urshobhit!

WP Offload Media Support Team here. Thanks for reaching out with your query! We would be happy to assist.

Regarding Cloudflare R2, while we would like to be able to integrate using this into our plugin as it is a popular request, at present R2 does not handle private objects in a way that is compatible with WP Offload Media.

As such, we can not support using R2 without limiting the functionality of WP Offload Media for R2 users by removing a feature that is needed for secure delivery of downloadable product files and other media that should not be publicly accessible.

We’re keeping an eye on the Cloudflare R2 service and hope to support it in the future should it become more compatible through changes to either R2 or WP Offload Media.

the concern is not about private objects, it’s just the plugin is wrongly showing File does not exist on server error on some public objects/files but in actuality, the file exists on the server and when I click on Copy from Bucket to Server it gives an error that There were errors when downloading the media from bucket however the file gets copied on the server. this is happening with existing files on the Cloudflare bucket however there is no issue with newly uploaded files through WordPress.

    Hi @urshobhit ,

Thanks for the additional details. Could you clarify for us this line:

“it’s just the plugin is wrongly showing File does not exist on server error on some public objects/files but in actuality, the file exists on the server”
    — Do you mean that file does not exist on your local server? I was a bit confused because later on you said “this is happening with existing files on the Cloudflare bucket”. It is possible that the file exists in the Cloudflare R2 bucket but no longer exists on your local server, particularly if “Remove Local Media” is enabled.

Also “this is happening with existing files on cloudflare bucket however there is no issue with newly uploaded files through WordPress”
    — WP Offload Media Lite is limited only to newly uploaded files, it cannot offload files that were previously uploaded before the plugin was installed.

May we know if your WordPress debug.log file is enabled? If so, kindly check for any lines that mention AS3CF of offload media. It could give us more information about the error you are experiencing.
