wwsgd message box not showing

  • Hi Richard,

    I downloaded and installed WWSGD plugin and customised the message, but it’s not showing on my post.

    Here is a post example https://eatdrinkpaleo.com.au/broccoli-slaw-salad-cranberries/

    When I select to show on pages and posts, the message does who up on my homepage but not on a post. When I select to show on posts only (before a post), the message box is not displaying. I’ve tried to see if on different browsers, cleared my cookies/cache but still no idea why it’s not displaying for me.

    Is the plugin possibly conflicting with something else on my posts? Ads? Other plugins?

    Any help would be much appreciated as I’d love to use your plug in.

    Hi Irena,

    I’m suspecting your theme right now. If you’re able, it might be interesting to temporarily switch to the default theme, even for one minute, to see if the plugin works then. I suspect your theme may not have the particular hook that WWSGD uses to add the message. Let me know how that goes.

    BTW, my wife is sitting next to me and we both thought the salad recipe in the link looks great. ??

    Hi Richard,

    Thank you for replying. Was trying to switch to a default theme but having issues with that. What sort of hook would I need, do you think? Do you have any supporting documentation for that fix?

    Irena, I’m thinking about this more. I’m wondering how many pages you have vs. how many posts you have. Perhaps most of your site is pages? If so, you’ll definitely want to enable WWSGD on posts AND pages. How close does that get you?
