Move menu down

Hi,

Im a WP newbie and trying to get my head around all the unfamiliar terminology. I’ve learnt to have your logo without a white background you need to save as a .gif.

I’m trying to edit the Simple’n’Bright theme I have installed. Currently I need to know how to move the menu further down to make room for my logo.
