• Okay, I integrated a WYSWIG editor into both WordPress 1.0.2 and 1.2. It’s the typical “Microsoft Word”- look-a-like interface. You can see a screenshot at https://mudbomb.com
The editor works with any platform, as long as you’re using Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer; Mozilla 1.3 Beta or newer; or one of the recent Gecko-based browsers.
Give it a try and let me know what you think ??

  • it’s been asked twice already in this thread already, but i’ll ask too:
How does one integrate the Image manager (https://www.zhuo.org/htmlarea/) with this hack?
i’ve successfully installed the stand-alone image manager, which still works on the simple edit view, but have not been able to get it working in the advanced view, where this htmlarea hacks is utilized. are they compatible? the imagemanager is vastly superior as it provides an editor and thumbnails for images already on the server, etc.

An answer to this question from Joe via his blog:
“Xiang Wei Zhuo has not updated the Image Manager to the nightly build of htmlarea(which fixes some major Mozilla problems), so the the ImageManager is not compatible with the wysiwyg hack.”

Is there any image manager that is compatible with this hack? I’d like to start using WP as a CMS system for my site to which I’d have 3-4 other people writing articles for me, two of which don’t know a thing about HTML so making it as easy as possible to allow them to upload and add images to articles would be a HUGE help on my part.
    Any suggestions?

    > which browser
I was using FireFox 0.8, as I recall.

I installed the plugin, and activayed it. As soon as I try write/edit a post I get this JavaScript Application error:
    ‘Toolbar set “wp” doesn’t exist”
Can any1 help me out on this matter?
