    So the plugin only controls it’s own textarea, mainly because I’ve never really needed it to do anything else. The Wysiwyg editor is a lot harder to control, but I did play around with it about 6 months ago and it’s in this branch in the github repo:

    I haven’t really tested it properly but give it a go. If it doesn’t work please provide a proper breakdown of any errors. Then when I have time I’ll try and sort.

    I didn’t realize i’d have to remove my current plugin and re-install that branch. I see the limiter field now with the WYSIWYG Field type. I’m only using this with the basic editor. I’ll see if any problems come up. My last resort was going to apply CKEditor to a textarea since CKEditor support max length settings with an add-on.
