I just released a new version of WYSIWYG Plugin.
It is just a few days old (something like 2 or 3) and you can read more about it and download it at the WP Wiki.

hihi, the code that the editor generates is not perfect… but it is good enough (thats a problem with fckeditor).
Right now I’m at work but I’ll try to post something and check the error later.

First of all a question: Hihi, why do you need this plugin? Isn’t simplier to just write in the text area? ??
FYI: In Internet Explorer (5.5) it gives the following error message:
    Line: 18
    Char: 614
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
    Code: 0
    URL: ">https://articles.al-aidaroos.com/en/wp-content/plugins/fckeditor/fckeditor.html?InstanceName=content&Toolbar=wp`

    hihi

First of all i would like to thank both of you for your cooperation. Dear moshu i need it because it looks more simple for me cause it looks similar to Ms-word , and i can upload images by it easily. about FYI how i can benifit from that.

    Greetz,
I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with the editor not launching every time. For some old posts that I’m trying to edit I get the toolbar, and my text+html code becomes wysiwyg, but for others, it doesn’t launch, and I still see both my text and code.
Is this a known bug? Kinda annoying…

    Greetz again,
I’m the guy from two posts up. Wanted to just write here that I was able to find a workaround for the behavior I described. Apparently, if for some reason the wsyiwyg editor doesn’t launch, edit in something in the post window (like html code or something) and save the post. When it reloads, it should be there.
Strange though. And this is only for old posts that I was trying to import that had pictures in them. And also, it wasn’t for all of the old posts with pictures, only a handful – which weren’t significantly different from the rest. Ah well. All is OK. ??

There seems to be some errors with the editor on Internet Explorer … please confirm if you get them in firefox or mozilla since they have a better javascript debugger.
If there is someone who can help me out to figure whats going on I would really appreciate it.
Since on my installation I don’t get any of this errors it would be nice if someone could create me an account on their blogs just to check whats going on. You can email me to moi[the a sign]mac dot com.
I really would like to fix all the errors…

    Hi!
In 0.6.1, in simple controls, when I wrote a post, it produce error javascript (…Toolbar=wp). Now, with 0.6.3, in simple controls it works perfectly, but in advanced controls, 0.6.1 and 0.6.1. produce error javascript (…Toolbar=wp) in internet explorer.
Is it possible to do the same changes as simple control in avanced controls??
    Thkssss a lot.

After seing so many bugs… how does everyone feel about switching the fckeditor to htmlarea???
At the beggining I didn’t like it but after all this it seems like it is less buggy (altought the code that it generates is not as good as I would like).
    Any thoughts on this?

Fckeditor is nice if we could get it to work. I was going to put some time into it this week to see if I can help as I have a project hanging on this functionality (they INSIST they need a rich text editor).
So, I’d say if we don’t figure this out this week, maybe going back to HTMLArena is a good idea.
I’d be curious to know what the poster above means by “Basic” vs. “Advanced” controls. Could they elaborate?

I think he means inside on wordpress where you have to options for posting a message… one where you only see one text area and the second (advanced) where you can write an excerpt and then the whole body of the message.

    (@adamant)

Yes, I see the same results when I switch to the “Basic” view. The editor loads in “Basic” and does not in “Advanced.”

    (@moikirsch)

In the “advanced” mode, it only loads on the contet text area, not in the excerpt…
is that what you mean? because that is how it supposed to behave.

I just made a new version…. this one is based on htmlArea so hopefully must of the errors will be gone.

There are some features still missing but the basics are in there.

Thankssss,,,this is a new great job. It works with both browsers perfectly, without any problems.
I have check it about one hour, and it works fine.
