• Is there a WYSIWIG way to edit the appearance of my blog? To add images to the sidebar and otherwise move things around without using the WP theme editor? What I’d like is something like Mozilla Composer that I use to edit my website with, so I can put my cursor in the sidebar, pull down a menu and add an image.

    Thanks!

  • The closest you’ll come to that is the widgets plugin
    https://automattic.com/code/widgets/

You may also want to look at
    https://www.freshpursuits.com/canvas/

I’ve not looked at canvas, so I don’t know how many themes are available to use that with.

A quick search of the forums for widgets should yield quite a bit of info on them.

Hope that gets you in the right direction.

Most commercial editors let you do this. Dreamweaver will, but it is rather expensive.

I wouldn’t recommend editing WP (.php) files in DW in wysiwyg mode. That’s a sure way to get your blog messed up. You can use DW only in “code mode”.
So, the answer to the OP’s question is – NO, except the workarounds mentioned by mklb above.
