I can’t see anything wrong with my ftp configuration for Xcloner location but on verify I get the message
FTP connection error: Could not write data
Unfortunately this doesn’t tell me much about what might be wrong.
Is there any way to get diagnostics?
The same FTP setting are working with Filezilla client.
I have access to the FTP sever log and it shows a successful connection.
If I attempt a backup again a connection is made successfully BUT no attempt to transfer a file is logged.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

Have you checked and made sure that your ftp user has write permission on the backup folder path location? I don’t see any other reason for that error.

Thanks for responding. Yes the user does have full permissions – boxes ticked in the Filezilla server and I check the Windows permissions on the folders too.
Since posting this I have been able to do a transfer using a different plugin (UpdraftPlus) and I now wonder if the problem has something to do with passive-vs-active connections but can’t see any setting for this in Xcloner.

    Hello,

I’d suggest you to check with your hosting company and ask if they can provide some logs, as I’m not able to reproduce your issue on any of our test envs.
