XDomainRequest Error on IE8 in XP

Hey,
I use the Document Repository plugin to serve up .pdf files to visitors. I recently encountered a bug where it won’t download the .pdf’s in XP running IE8 if requested externally, like via an excel spreadsheet. After some testing, I’ve discovered that WooCommerce seems to generate this behavior. When WooCommerce is not active, the Document Repository downloads work ok. When WooCommerce is active, the Document Repository downloads throw this error: “Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.”
Have you all heard of this happening before? Any ideas on a fix? Thanks!
