Well i removed the free poll i had.used a blogflux poll.
The original polls with stay on my website not blog,it doesn’t seem to wok well here,I know nothing else but some html.

After the polls were gone its better.Anymore tips, for me in fixing the 653 errors left.

I know a little bit about html and css. If I were you I would just get on and enjoy the blogging experience. Leave validation to the nerdy types. ??

Based on what I seen, you should go through the structure again. The UL LI are misplaced and on top of that, some deprecated attributes like align and size … etc, go through that. Those errors are listed when you validate it, very simple really.

@root: I don’t agree with you, being validated helps in SEO. I have had a couple of searches linked to my site, and I owe part of it it to the good markup I have on my site.

I need some help with xhtml validation as well. I don’t the 900+ errors mentioned above, but I do have about 175 errors and I’m doing my best to read the “verbose” feedback from validator.w3.org, but sometimes I get errors and it mentions <p> tags, but I never put <p> tags in my posts, so I just don’t know where it is finding the code it says is incorrect. Anybody got a moment to try a validation on my site and give me a little direction? I’d really appreciate it. My site url is: https://www.thepsychfiles.com

    Thanks!

PS: should I be using character entities in my blog posts instead of just typing away in the wysiwyg wordpress editor?

    Here’s a tip:
You need to nest li within ul, and a lot of errors seem to be coming from that direction.

Thanks Darran. There definitely were problems with how I was handling unordered lists, so I’ve been focusing on that and the error count is down to about 130 or so.

The error I can’t seem to fix is this: I placed the Feedburner email notification code inside a text widget in my sidebar and it seems to be causing errors because the code contains a ? instead of &. However, whenever I change the code in the widget, it doesn’t save when I click the “update” button. Any suggestions on this?

    Thanks!

    What is the exact code?
