xls import doesn’t show mutated vowel correctly

    Hi,

    while importing .xls files, I can see that german special letters like “?”, “?”, “ü”, etc. are not shown correctly.
    Is there a trick how to avoid this?

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    Can you please try again with the TablePress 2.0-beta2 version (see https://tablepress.org/8-million-downloads-tablepress-2-0/ )? That contains a new Excel import engine that should work better in this regard.
    Alternatively, you could also save the table to a CSV file in Excel and then import that into TablePress.
