XML issues – Blank XML line?

    I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps to get
    https://www.bradtguides.com/category/british-isles/feed/gn
    to show up correctly in GN but I am still seeing the dreaded “1 empty section” message.

    I get a
    Most Recent Feedfetcher Fetch: 2020-10-20 12:08:03 +0100
    and a
    Most Recent Update Ping Sent: 2020-10-20 11:48:59 +0100
    so I imagine it may be an XML issue? But I’ve looked into potential spacing errors and can’t find any remaining issues.

    I realise this may not be an issue with your software but I would appreciate any help – thanks so much in advance!

    Yeh, I think it’s the empty line at the very top that’s causing the issue. That causes the feed not to validate.

    The empty line might be caused by something in your header.php file, or it could be a plugin issue I suppose. If you view the source of any of your pages, you’ll see they all start with an empty line. Html and browsers are forgiving of that, xml isn’t.

    PS: the other empty lines don’t affect anything. I have spacing in there just to help when I am looking at the feed to troubleshoot issues. It’s only that top line being empty that’s a problem.
