This sitemap error started showing up after updating wordpress 6

Our server is Litespeed yes

And is LScache on? Could you try disabling for a short time it to see if the problem remains or goes away https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/troubleshoot/#first-steps ?

It still shows the error, when deleting the plugin but can’t even see if it helps at all

Very strange. I am getting empty responses on /sitemap.xml now too with a strange response header x-litespeed-tag: a2e_HTTP.304 which it does not give on /sitemap.xml?nocache for example.

There is thread here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/x-litespeed-tag-make-cache-miss/ about a similar header but not sure what it means, nor what the solution is. Maybe the Litespeed devs can say something more?

I noticed that the error appears in Firefox, now in Chrome using this link works – https://cinebreak.com.br/sitemap_index.xml

I reloaded the page several times and it’s working normally, I’m just waiting for Google search to read the sitemap again after resending

Did/do you have something like “/sitemap.xml” added in the URI field on Litespeed Cache > Cache > Exclude admin page? And if so, do you have “/sitemap_index.xml” there too?

The LSCache people are asking what happens if the Litespeed Cache for WordPress plugin is switched off completely. If you find the time to test this, please let me know ??
