XML-RPC Post requests not being picked up

    We had a lot (1,000s) of POST requests to XML-RPC this morning that do not appear in our Limit Login Attempts dashboard. I thought XML-RPC was monitored? Is this some kind of attempt that you are not covering?

    We do cover XML-RPC. If you open your_domain/xmlrpc.php does it work? (it might be blocked at a lower level before it gets to the plugin).

    That’s true, I’ll check. I didn’t think it had been blocked (until this attack) but it could be and the server logs are showing lower level activity.
