  • Petluck,

The XML sitemap should detect your posts and pages; we don’t do anything special for QTranslate, so my advice would be for you to try it and see if it works for you. We do have support for WPML, as well.

Well… I tried it, using default settings, and got this message :

This page contains the following errors:

error on line 2 at column 1: Extra content at the end of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

(page is then blank except for that message ??

and Google says : Unsupported file format

Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.

    Petluck,

Typically what that means is a plugin or your theme is outputting additional whitespace; this breaks dynamically generated XML files. If you view the source of your WordPress site, you’ll likely see the same space being output above the start of the document.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I wouldn’t know how to fix that, unfortunately. I did resubmit with the other plugin and there are no errors reported.

    Hi Petluck,

You can still generate a static XML Sitemap file with All in One SEO Pack. Just uncheck the box where it says Dynamically Generate Sitemap.

Not quite sure where the problem really is then, as the other has no problem creating them dynamically, which is better for my purposes. Thanks!!

    Hi Petluck,

If you want to give us access to your site we can take a look and see why All in One SEO Pack is having a problem dynamically generating the sitemap. You can contact us here https://semperplugins.com/contact/
