  • @joostdevalk I’ve lost the top positions most of my sites by this problem.
I have not lost indexing, I lost positions. Excuse me.

That’s not related either, AT ALL. You can blame me for many things, but not your site’s loss of positions ??

Sitemaps are working again under 1.3.4.1. Thanks Joost.

Nothing works on my site when I put a post up. I had to go back to the older version. And that doesn’t even work. Whenever sitemap is turned on, every page on the website turns to a 404 not found page.
I guess the only option is not to use your sitemap. This issue can be seen going back over 6 months. The SEO part is more important then the sitemap part, since there are other ways to do that easily.
Thanks for a great plugin, I hope all these bugs get fixed soon.

    Sitemap work with 1.3.4.1, ty

No such luck for some of us. I have 3.5 and 1.3.4.1, I don’t have a redirect loop, but I have an error:

This page contains the following errors:

error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

There is a separate thread about this here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/xml-sitemap-putting-out-parsing-error?replies=5

Any help or fix would be greatly appreciated!

I think I was a victim of a redirect loop also. At least it looked like one, because the server was slowed to a crawl after upgrading to WP 3.5 and SEO 1.3.4.1. An hour after the upgrade the server had something like ~140 load and some hundreds of httpd connections and mysql. I barely could do an apache restart. After that I’ve put back my old yoast seo version, 1.2.8.7 and everything is back to normal.

    A simple question.
To downgrade the app, is it sufficient to replace the folder via FTP or is necessary to clean some files from code?

Same here.I have updated to WP 3.5 with SEO 1.3.4.1. The sitemaps are not generated. In my server I make use of nginx with proper rewrite rules.

I am getting this error. I see two sitemaps for my posts. Post-sitemap1 and postsitemap2.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 887097 bytes) in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-sitemaps.php on line 425
