    Hi guys,

I don’t know why but when I activate the XML sitemap from Yoast SEO, it generates an XML with all the pages excepted the ones from Woocommerce (categories and products). Do you know what could prevent Yoast from doing it? I’ve tried flushing the cache, deactivating the sitemap, deactivating the plugin but still nothing.

    Thank you very much

Thank you for reaching out. I understand your WooCommerce categories and products are not getting listed on the Yoast sitemap.

Could you please check if they are set to index ( Enable Show in search results) in the Search Appearance settings under Yoast SEO? Refer to our article for more details.

Hi Suwash, yes in the Yoast plugin settings, the “Show products in search results” is on and I’ve not edited the Yoast settings in product pages.

    Hi @arnygood

Could you provide us with the URL to your sitemap index so we can try and investigate this further? We do know that for the content type ‘product’ in the Yoast SEO settings, if you’ve enabled it to show in the search results, it should generate its own sub-sitemap as well as have the meta robots tag of ‘index’, which would allow it to be in the search results.

Hi Michael, here it is: https://myclim8.com/sitemap_index.xml

    Thank you!

Thanks for sharing the URL, and I can confirm the WooCommerce product and category sitemaps are missing.

Please share a full screenshot of what you have in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Products. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

Just so you know, I’m using the following plugin to rewrite Woocommerce URL: https://permalinkmanager.pro. Could it be related?

Thanks for the screenshots; you have the right settings to generate the respective sitemaps. Can you temporarily turn off the Permalink Manager Pro plugin to see if this resolves the issue?

Hi Maybellyne, I’ve tried deactivating the Permalink Manager Pro plugin, disabled Yoast sitemap, emptied cache, enabled Yoast sitemap again. But still the same. Products do not appear in the sitemap. Do you want me to list all the plugins I have? Maybe you know that some are conflicting?

    Thank you,

    Hello @arnygood,

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

Hi @maybellyne , I’ve disabled all the plugins and found out it was because of the Asset Cleanup Pro plugin. They are supposed to disable assets in front-end but it looks like it works for back-end too ?? I’ve changed my plugin settings and everything went back to normal in Yoast.

    Thank you very much!

I’m glad you found the conflicting plugin @arnygood .

This thread was marked resolved as the original poster confirmed the issue no longer occurs on their site.
