    Hi,

I recently installed an SSL cert on our server and am moving from http to https. I’ve made this change to handle the redirects on the server and also changed the WordPress settings to use https.

The Yoast SEO’s xml sitemap generator is still showing all pages as http. This is horrible as my “new” site’s pages are not being crawled at all.

Is there a Yoast setting I’m missing here? Doesn’t the plugin look at the WordPress site name to use in the sitemap? How can I fix this?

I just found out how to fix this. It’s not intuitive at all and I suggest the Yoast team to consider changing this. The sitemap should use the wordpress web address value. If a setting needs to change for the sitemap, I suggest moving it to the “XML Sitemap” settings or to the “General” settings.

If anyone else runs into this issue, here’s how you fix it:
In the admin, click on the Yoast SEO “Search Console” then “Settings”. From there, you’ll have to re-authenticate your Google webmaster profile. Once re-authenticated, your sitemap will update.
