I am trying out the Yoast SEO plugin to get an XML sitemap for our site. We have some pages with shortcodes which run custom PHP code (handling user logins to an external source and other custom code). When I try to view the XML sitemap, it appears to be running the PHP code for our logout page which redirects the user, therefore the XML sitemap never loads. Is it supposed to be doing this just to make a list of URLs for the sitemap?

  • It’s possible if you have installed Divi theme. It could be related to this issue. If it isn’t same issue, please send more details (theme, shortcodes, …).

We are using Divi, and commenting out the code in Divi that applies the filters does make the sitemap work. I will try to follow up with them. Thanks.
