XML Sitemap returning 500 internal server error

    As of version 2.1.1. the sitemap is no longer generated. It consumes too many resources. We’re talking about a file that used to be very well generated before this versions, regardless of the high number of posts/sitemaps created in the sitemap_index.xml

    Would love to know how to get around this..

  • Have you tried to reduce the amount of posts that are in each sitemap file? Instead of the default 1000 try reducing the number to like 500 or something smaller
