Hi! Please see video screencast here [redacted]

    In summary:

    – Pages sitemap is not showing up, even though some pages are set to be indexed (default is “No” in settings); need them to show up.
    – Product Categories sitemap is showing up, even though products are set to “No” (none are indexed manually).
    – Also the Authors sitemap is unnecessary, and I would like to remove it.

    Thanks very much!

  • Hi,

You identified several issues. We have responded to them below.

    1. If you want pages to appear on the sitemap you will need to go to SEO-Search Appearance-Content Types-Pages and select YES.

If you then have specific pages you do not want to appear you will need to add a noindex tag using this guide: https://kb.yoast.com/article/213-how-do-i-noindex-urls

    2. For product categories go to SEO-Search Appearance-Taxonomies and select NO for product categories. This will pull it off the sitemap.

    3. For author sitemap go to SEO-Search Appearance-Archives-Author and select NO. This will pull it off the sitemap

    Hi thanks for the support.

Following your instructions, I have cleared up the authors and product categories issues (thanks).

However, for Pages, I cannot follow your instructions. Perhaps 90% of our pages are not to be indexed, and it is not efficient to noindex them all manually. Your plugin needs an update to pick up on individual items in a given scope (eg, Pages) that are manually indexed. If anything in a scope is indexed, it should be present in sitemap. This requires an update to pick up on these.

I have submitted an Issue on Github.

    Thanks again!
