    Hi Steven.

    Thanks for letting us know about your issue. We don’t have this option in this plugin yet.

    As an alternative, our new AddThis Website Tools plugin will let you specify whether you want those XHTML namespaces added. It requires a (free) AddThis account and the social accounts for follow buttons are configured at AddThis.com instead of inside WordPress, but you can still drag and drop widgets for the follow tools into whatever widget areas your theme includes.
