xmlrpc.php page and pages in the log

xmlrpc.php is by far the most logged 404.

Do you have suggestions on how to deal with this?

I thought about putting in a blank xmlrpc.php file.
I could create a custom redirect for xmlrpc.php to another location or site.
What is the best practice?
