Yahoo! and PHP

    i just set up a blog with/for my wife on yahoo! small business.

    i’m plenty handy with supporting her wordpress questions, so please don’t flame my choice in hosts.

    my question: we were editting her sidebar.php, but the edits wouldn’t show up. i deleted sidebar.php, and that still didn’t affect the layout. the error was repeatable on different machines and after clearing the local cache.

    we finally fixed it by changing themes, modifying sidbar.php, and switching themes back.

    it’s really weird, since editting style.css showed up immediately.

    has anyone seen anything like this? is yahoo caching php files on their servers? is there a better workaround than changing themes?

  • It could be that WP is caching your site – try cleaning the cache directory under wp-content.
