• Hello,
First off, I have searched this forum for answers to my problem, and though I have found some people in my similar situation, I have not solved my problem. My hosting company is Yahoo. I have copied the WordPress files over to the server, changed the configuration file to refelct the database username, password, database, and host (yes I am using “mysql” instead of “localhost”). When I attempt to run the installation page the only thing I get is a blank page with absolutely no errors or nothing; I get the same when I run the Index.php page. I have successfully tested the connection from PHP to MySQL via a script that uses the MySQL_connect function. I have read that there are modules that need to be compiled with php in order for the two systems to work together, but if Yahoo is handling the compilation of PHP, then how am I supposed to do that?

    Thank you in advance.

    LF

  • I have exactely the same problem using LYCOS as my hosting company.

My problem was solved when deleting ALL the old wordpress files and then upgrading to 2.0

…for a while. Now there are blank pages very couple of days. Non php pages work perfectaly though. So it must have something to do with php…?

    same situation here… blank pages.

strange since wordpress 1.5 installed like a charm and still works with no problem from a different directory.

    anyone have any ideas?
