Yahoo Can’t Find Me

it might take longer than 2 days for it to show up on a search engine. give it some time.

What to do next? Wait patiently. There are only 50 000 000 000 000 000 web pages out there, you know.

hmm is my-yahoo different than the yahoo search engine? my-yahoo might be some sort of feature? Dunno

The reason I stated my yahoo is that the expert wisdom is that if you search and find your blog there (they have a built in RSS reader) and add it to your page, this will accelerate (some say in less than 48 hours) the time it takes for Yahoo to index and list your page.

You blog will not show up “automatically” in your My Yahoo. You have to specify the feed.

Ok, I have another MyYahoo related problem also. I added my feed (https://www.myteenieblog.com/feed/) and it worked for a couple of days. It took it a couple of hours after I added a post for it to show up in MyYahoo, but it did show up. Since last night, I have added 4 new posts, and none of them are showing up in MyYahoo. If I use the Atom feed some of them show up, but none of them do if I use the RSS feed. Can someone please help, because I want to make sure this thing is syndicating right, because I know several people have added my feed to their MyYahoo and I want them to see all of the posts.

Also, does anyone know what the correct address is for me to ping Yahoo? I have a couple of different ones, and I don’t know which one to use.

If Yahoo caches the feed they won’t show up for awhile. New posts I add don’t show up immediately but they do show up. So, as has been said repeatedly, be patient.

Oh, and I just ping pingomatic and let them deal with it.

Pingomatic will ping My Yahoo when it’s working, which is about half the time.
