So, I find out today that Yahoo doesn’t accept .htaccess files. I’m guessing that’s why we are unable to change our permalink settings in the dashboard.

I’ve read everything I could find on setting up pretty or prettier permalinks and it all points to having a .htaccess file.

All I want is for them to say: https://www.sitename.com/date(or id)/postingtitle

Is there a way to achieve this?

Still can’t figure out how to add pretty or almost pretty permalinks to a WP blog hosted by Yahoo. I know, Yahoo has its issues.

Does anyone know of a plugin that will take care of this issue.

I asked the support tech there about apache and .htaccess files and he said I couldn’t add one.

I still can’t figure this out.

I just want permalinks of my posts to read:
    https://www.theangrywaiter.com/date(or id)/post-title

I’ve checked the codex and looked for a 2.3.1 compatible plugin.

    Anybody?
