Please help! I must have missed soooo many people who used this for when they needed to contact me.
    Thanks

People are unable to contact me via my contact form:
    https://www.essentiallydogs.com/contact

This is part of the error message:

The contact form is not sending me any messages. The following showed up in my spam box:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

    Hi again-

Thank you for the suggestion. I gave it a try, but it didn’t work. I changed all my settings so that the email address would be [email protected]. At least I thought I changed all those settings. There must be a setting somewhere that has my [email protected]. The contact form is working via the doggiespa yahoo address. Where in my settings can I change that address? I tried signing my google email address into the contact form. Same issue. Here is a portion of the error message:

Hi have you checked your WordPress settings?

Go to Settings >> General >> E-mail Address and see what you have entered there. Also make sure you don’t have any other plugin that needed an e-mail address added.

    Thank you

Yahoo made some changes that causes this https://www.fastsecurecontactform.com/yahoo-com-dmarc-policy

    Hi Mike-

What is the workaround? Is the issue happening because I am sending the contact messages using my own yahoo email addresses in the form? Will it work when others try to contact me if they have yahoo? Does your plugin have a fix? I added the plugin wp smtp hoping that the problem would go away, but it didn’t do anything. I hate adding plugins because I have too many as it is. Should I get rid of the wp smtp plugin? Is there a way to set that plugin so that it will take care of the yahoo issue? If so, I can’t figure out the settings. I am a newbie so I don’t understand anything technical. I already changed the email address to the website email, but it still acknowledges the yahoo address. I don’t know why. My wordpress settings on my settings admin page are no longer yahoo address. I don’t want to block people who have yahoo addresses because yahoo is so popular that it would block a ton of people… What can I do???

    Thanks again,
    Janie

Hi @janie, have you tried to implement the first solution from the link provided by @mike Challis

    Solution:
    1) Try this: Change your contact form settings to send mail to your web site email address instead of sending to your gmail address. It might be possible your web site email does not reject the mail.

I have done that already. I changed my wordpress settings to my website email AND the FS Contact as well. The FS Contact plugin is blocking all people who use yahoo mail. If a person using yahoo mail tries to send me a message, it emails them to tell them that the message was sent, but it gives me NO email from them. I am not getting any of their email. I even tried signing out of my wordpress and filling it out as an outsider. That smtp plugin doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Can I get rid of it? I don’t even know if I used the correct settings. Theoretically, should that plugin resolve the issue? Did I mess up the settings for it? Every person with a yahoo mail address is being blocked from me by FS Contact form. I love the form. Gmail is fine. Only yahoo mail is the problem. I don’t want to get rid of it. I must be doing something wrong because I think I have tried everything. How can I fix this?

Hi Janie, yes you can uninstall the Smtp plugin. I only pointed you in that direction because that has worked for some. However now that @mike Challis has pointed out that Yahoo has changed their security I am not sure if this plugin would work for Yahoo unless the developers have implemented Yahoo changes.

I am not sure what or how you have set it up. For now you will have to wait until @mike Challis fixes this issue with in a future release.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. You see, being that I am a newbie AND meticulous about my work, it makes me feel so helpless when I can’t fix something. I appreciate the support you both have been giving to me.

Wait… Something weird. I got my contact message that I sent hours ago. It went to my spam folder in my doggiespa yahoo account. I don’t understand why it’s not going into my my essentiallydogs.com mail. I am glad that there aren’t error messages, but I still don’t understand why it is going into the wrong mail box and why it is getting spammed. I am happy that I got it though without any error messages. Hey!!! could it be that my mailchimp is doing something to it? A mailchimp person added a checkbox at the bottom of the form. It’s strange though because I also changed the email settings for mailchimp as well. Hmmmm. I think that we are stepping in the right direction.

Wait!!! Another weird thing… Maybe it’s a full moon. Hmmm… I JUST received the same contact form at my other yahoo email address and it came. It didn’t even get spammed!!! This is working out well. I wonder if my website mail might pick it up. I will check tomorrow morning. Thank you again.

Hi Janie I am happy that it is starting to work for you ?? at least there is light at the end of the tunnel ??

    Kind regards

The plugin is not causing this problem, yahoo did. But since yahoo made these changes, other providers like AOL and Comcast did it also. This might be the new normal now.

This should make it DMARC compliant.
Edit your form, go to the Basic settings tab.

Set the “Return-path address” setting to a real email address on the SAME domain as your web site.

    check this setting box:
Enable ONLY when web host requires “Mail From” strictly tied to site.

Now it should be DMARC compliant for users who submit your form with yahoo, aol, comcast emails, or any other provider who now requires DMARC compliance.

If you have other forms in use, do this for each form
Let me know if it works better.

Hi @mike Challis thank you for your answer.

Is this going to be a normal setting from now on when one creates a form with this plugin and or any other plugin in www.ads-software.com?

    Kind regards

I just updated this help page, Solution 2 will probably be required for DMARC compliance. I need to wait some time before forcing it to be default. Not sure what will happen, but I estimate, DMARC might become default if more email providers start requiring it..

    Thanks Mike-

Just out of curiosity, can I put BBC to one of my yahoo email addresses or might that be a bad idea?
