Yandex snippet

    I recently discovered that Yandex is not using my site’s meta description set in YOAST SEO as snippet. It is using WordPress tags as the site’s snippet. How can I prevent this? Make Yandex use meta description as snippet, or actual text on the webpage. Anything is better than using tags.
    Thank you!
    By the way, Google and Bing are using the meta description as snippet. So it’s only Yandex.

    If you’ve defined the meta description output (you can confirm this by checking the page source), and it isn’t being shown as expected by Yandex, then you’ll have to check and contact them for more information as to why they are using the tags. Sometimes, the search engines (like Google) will ignore your set title and meta description and use data that they feel is more relevant to the search term or query being used, if it will match.
