YARPP & WP Super Cache
-
Hallo,
I have a problem withe the YARPP und “WP Super Cache” Plugin since I updated YARPP from v3.2 to v3.3.1.
If these two plugins activated, my homepage on my blog does not loading if i logged in. I get an empty white page. The other sides (articles, pages, archives) work. If i am not logged in, there is no problem.
If i deactivate YARPP, there is no problem. If i deactivate “WP Super Cache” an run YARPP there is no problem, too. The problem just appears, if i run YARPP and “WP Super Cache” together an i am logged in.
Have anyone an idea, how to solve this problem?
Thanks!

Note:
WP Super Cache Version 0.9.9.9
YARPP Version 3.3.1
WP Version 3.1.3Please help!
Now i have deactivate and uninstall the “wp-super cache” plugin und install “W3 Total Cache” and i have same problem, too. But now all sites and pageas blank!!! Thanks for the perfekt support here!
No one here, who can help me to solve this YARPP problem?
@estetik, sorry to hear about this. Could you check the PHP error logs on your server to see if there are any errors being printed there when you get the white pages?
Hi Michael,
i dont know, how to check php errors on the server. i have tried everything an my summary is: wp-super-cache works excelently without yarpp and yarpp works excelently withot wp-super-cache.
if i activate wp-super-cache an let “caching off”, i become a white blank page on homepage, too. the problem appears just on the homepage.
before i updatet to the latest yarpp version both plugins works correctly. an if i now downgrade yarpp to the older version, i have the problem, too.
i dont knwo, what to do. please help!
I had the same issue with YARPP and W3 Total Cache; I would suggest that YARPP is the issue and recommend that until a more robust mechanism is in place that this be considered “only if absolutely necessary”. Happy to be proven wrong.
@mitcho: I’m not sure this is related, but I’m getting YARPP-related errors in my PHP error log when running YARPP and W3 Total Cache (W3TC). I have experienced this with W3 Total Cache database caching “enabled” but I seem to get a greater volume of errors when W3TC database caching is “disabled”.
Here are a couple of typical example entries (this happens with other post IDs).
[15-Aug-2011 07:27:22] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query select count(*) as count from wp_yarpp_related_cache where reference_ID = 8511 made by require, require_once, include, related_posts, yarpp_related, yarpp_cache_enforce, YARPP_Cache_Tables->is_cached, W3_Db->query

Is there a W3TC setup or cache and table emptying best practice that users of YARPP and caching plugins should employ?
My Setup:
Wordpress 3.0.4
YARPP: 3.3.2
W3 Total Cache: 0.9.2.3
Host: Hostgator@dannoll something’s very odd about this. The query referred to there is a very simple and fast query, but the MySQL server is dying on it… you may want to contact your hosting and see if they have an idea.
Does the issue really disappear if you don’t use W3 Total Cache?
@mitcho: I’m rebuilding the site and will probably switch hosts. If the problem persists, I’ll let you know.
Thanks @dannoll.
@mitcho: Even though the YARPP has been removed from my wordpress site, I’m still receiving YARPP errors in the error logs.
The errors looks like: (W3 Total Cache running)
