Yasmin theme menu header

    Im using the Yasmin theme for a photo blog and im having trouble making the menu header shorter so there isnt an empty space between the menu items and the top of the page. I already removed the social plugins and the search bar. Can anyone help me shorten the bar?

    Also i’m not using a static page. My front page shows my 3 newest blog posts and the pics line up nice but the text entries underneath bleed into each other. Is there a way to constrain the text into nice neat column on the front page preview and have it look noraml when you go to the posts actual page?
