Fantastic Plugin that also works with Genesis

I started looking for something to remove the awful “Howdy” and found this plugin. The initial version was nice, but in my review (below) I mentioned that I would have loved to be able to replace Howdy with any customized greeting or to have no greeting at all. And the developer very quickly responded with an update that allows you to replace Howdy with any greeting that you want and you can also turn-off the admin bar from showing on the front end. I’m assuming that it’s harder to just remove the whole greeting or I’d still go that route (as on a business site where users aren’t ever logging in, who needs that greeting) but greatly appreciate this plugin and the way that the developer jumped on the update to offer a great and simple plugin that offers flexibility. And frankly it may even be better to simply turnoff the admin bar. I wish that all developers were this responsive. Thanks!

Was just about to give up finding a plugin that would work with 4.1.3 but then someone pointed me to this one. Easy, and Howdy is gone! If I could, would loved to have done more than replace Howdy with “Welcome” such as to have nothing, or to be able to customize the greeting. I like being able to turn off the admin bar, but wish that in doing so you didn’t lose the search box. But a useful little PU. Thanks!
