  • I was very happy, until… ??

I installed it, and after hitting the backup-button I get the message that the database has been backed up, but this isn’t the case. I only get a file of 1kb with the following:

    Usage: mysqldump [OPTIONS] database [tables]
OR mysqldump [OPTIONS] --databases [OPTIONS] DB1 [DB2 DB3...]
    OR mysqldump [OPTIONS] --all-databases [OPTIONS]
For more options, use mysqldump --help

    That’s all.

I’m using the nightly from january 20th.

Fixed version is up at the same place.

    Just downloaded it from
    https://boren.nu/downloads/wp_backup.tar.gz

but still the same error I’m afraid.

Thanks Ryan. This is very handy.

I was having the same problems as Moxie but just downloaded the update and it works fine this time.

Tried it even once more (you never know :)), first deleting all the files from the server, deactivating plugin etc. and starting all over with a fresh download, but it still doesn’t work for me.

    I am confused by this.

If your data is important enough to require backing up, why on earth are you entrusting it to beta software?

moxie did not say that this was the only way it was being done, just that errors were being experienced ??

Well, anonymous, I ??m using the betaversion on my official site, but not before testing it on a betaversion of that same site.

And I don’t mind backing up my database the usual way through phpadmin, but it’s just easier and faster to do it throught the admin section of wp. Also, because I see it constantly in the top bar of that screen it reminds me how important it is to back up regularly :).
