Once again, thank you all for your comments. They were quite helpful.
GMMR, I assume you meant the links in the sidebar. I tried messing around with the links’ color. I just couldn’t get something that I was really satisfied with. I have changed the hover color, though. It is now white. Hopefully, this will make it a little easier to read when you contrast between the white and the blue while hovering over it and off again. I will investigate the palette further…
Martijn, thank you for the checklist ??
– increase post font size a little
+ done
– align meta info (below the post title) to the left
+ done
– align comments to the left
+ done
– remove the ads ?? you have the site for making money or for having fun?
I am a bit unsure about this one. I doubt that I will be able to quit my dayjob with the blog, but I would really like to be able to get just enough to be able to switch hosts. Part of this project is for fun, yes. (I am a geek, absolutely) The other part of it is to learn web standards and CSS properly. I know that I won’t be making any money off of those ads anytime soon. I just wanted to see what happens. I will leave them for now. But I do understand your point-of-view.
– do not center photo’s in posts
This is more of a redactorial issue than the theme itself. When I was posting that little article, I wanted to show off the effects with thumbnails. I was hesitant to use tables since I am under the impression that there is now a better way to align items. I completely agree that having 5 images that only take less than half of a column centered is not exactly the prettiest thing to see. I have yet to look for gallery plug-ins and such. And also, I still have some CSS learning to do.
Thank you again.
Cheers,
iso
