• Hello, I am using the free YITH WOOCOMMERCE AFFILIATES version to track my affiliate links purchase with a website I am working with. The issue is when I look at the YITH links to track if any purchases have been made, sometimes there are dozens and dozens of views but no sales. But, when I look at my Google Analytics, the page views rarely match what the YITH indicates the links being viewed.

An example is PRODUCT 1 in the YITH plugin will tell me that it has been viewed 5 times in a month. But, when I look at my Google Analytics PRODUCT 1 has never been viewed or clicked on per Google Analytics in the same month.

So, it does not seem clear to me that the YITH results are accurate and hence I have no idea if I am making a sale or not. Can you please advise? Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Hi there,

hope you are doing well! ??

Our plugin registers the view of the affiliate link every time an affiliate link has been hit.
It means, that every time, a parameter ?ref appears on the link, a new hit is registered.

I think that Google Analytics maybe doesn’t register some type of redirections to your site or maybe there is a limitation or filter when a link is opened.

Of course, our plugin is not related to Google Analytics in any way, so, there is no kind of restriction added for that to happen.

    I hope it helps you.

    Have a great day!

Thank you for the response but it does not seem to be completely accurate in my opinion with all respect.

    An example is below:

    https://www.balocoloc.com/affiliate-dashboard/clicks/2/

My website is called thevenetianmasks.com The following issues seem to be happening:

    1) So, per the link above you can see that 2 of the 10 affiliate links were from my website. But 8 of the 10 were listed as NA. Where are the NA’s coming from if my affiliate links are only available thru my website thevenetianmasks.com? How is a NA registered and where from?

Furthermore, on the same date on July 29, I clicked on 3 different masks, from my website with the affilate link as a test and clicked on the same 3 masks on July 28 as a test also and NONE of them have registered via you plugin. How is this possible?

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Hello following up on this message since there was not a response.

    Thank you.

    Hello there,

We hope you are doing well! ???

We thought it important to explain to you how we get the origin URL. We use Referer HTTP request.

The Referer HTTP request header contains an absolute or partial address of the page making the request. When following a link, this would be the address of the page containing the link. When making a resource request to another domain, this would be the address of the page using the resource.

But referer not always has the header because that header is not mandatory, and more often than not, it is empty.

Just to be clear, For can obtain the origin, need to exist some steps and the plugin is not the principal, so in this case. We can′t do much more. Our plugin has limitations for basic tracking. If you want to have better tracking you should use something like Google Analytics.

Hope this answer was helpful to you.

    Have a nice day!
