    Wordpress Version 5.4.2
    Yoast 14.1
    Divi 4.4.8

When enabled Yoast 14.1 cannot save any page error generated by Divi Builder – https://i.imgur.com/tyAHa2W.png (Object is not a function in builder file bundle.js)

When enabled older Yoast (9.7, 12, 13,) – cannot save anything from backend editor, the error generated – https://i.imgur.com/SDByHSU.png (error from Yoast what’s up-seo-post-scrapper). Also, content optimization tab for Yoast doesn’t load.

Debugged by disabling all plugins, themes – Yoast is the faulty one. Looks like it just doesn’t work well with the current WordPress version.

Any hints will be appreciated. Thank you.

Yoast SEO 14.3 is already out. Have you tried it? This version is compatible with WordPress version 5.3 up to 5.4.2.

Thank you for reply, Rumejan. Unfortunately, 14.3 has been tested by us and it breaks Divi Visual Builder – screen attached in my inital post.

    Hello,

Just to confirm, the same error occurs with v14.3 of Yoast SEO for WordPress and NOT v14.1? The Yoast SEO plugin is expected to work with WordPress 5.3 and newer (along with the latest version 5.4.2).

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

This conflict check would definitely test a default theme, and only the Yoast SEO plugin activated, before activating your plugins one by one, before going back to your preferred theme, to identify the conflict.

Ok, doing tests you suggested by you, I’ve narrowed down the problem to a conflict between any version of SEO Yoast (14.1, 14.3, 12, 11, 9.7 – these are random that we tried) and Latest Divi Visual Builder – Divi 4.4.8. When Enabled SEO Yoast I cannot save pages from backend. Means I cannot add no meta titles, no meta descriptions. So, sorry for misleading, WordPress version has nothing to do about it. When I disable Yoast – saving pages works fine. Elegant Themes support says it is plugin conflict and since Yoast is the one who doesn’t along well, maybe you can help with is siutation? The error from builder is next – https://i.imgur.com/tyAHa2W.png thanks.

@basilyando We found a similar bug report from another user regarding Divi 4.4.8 and the current version of Yoast SEO here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/15414

Can you please review the bug report and confirm whether this is the same issue? If so, we would recommend commenting on it so that you are updated on it’s progress.
