    Hello @rzvagelsky

I’m sorry you couldn’t activate the plugin. Since?maximum execution time error is related to the server configuration, please check that your site meets?our plugin requirements.

Also, I’d recommend ensuring that the PHP settings for both?max_execution_time?and?memory_limit?are set to a high enough value in the PHP environment. This setting is typically controlled by editing the values in a php.ini file.

Experiencing same problem as Ron, but with Yoast version 2.5. Read Yoast requirements page and we meet all requirements. Log points to error here,wordpress-seo/inc/options/class-wpseo-option.php on line 786. Can you make a fix for this issue so it’s possible to network activate it? Free version can’t be network activated. This is still an issue, obviously.

@ldigregorio I never resolved this issue and interestingly, the following seemed to work:

    1. Network deactivate any another plugin

    2. Network activate that plugin again

    3. Try Network activating Yoast again

    This seemed to work.

I actually ended up removing Yoast as each update would take down my network and with the growing number of users this became a real problem. I ended up coming up with my own basic solution and use native WP Sitemap to handle XML: https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2020/07/22/new-xml-sitemaps-functionality-in-wordpress-5-5/

Thank you so much for the swift response Ron. Too bad Yoast support can’t do the same. I tried turning off all plugins, but yoast, and it doesn’t fix the problem. Yoast has a problem with their code and it won’t be fixed until they fix it. So, the plugin can’t be network activated any longer until their developer can fix it. And yes, I read the yoast requirement page and our environment meets all their requirements.
