Yoast 3.2.4 breaks wp-admin

    Updated to the latest Yoast version yesterday, but that completely broke my wp-admin screen. The website works, but wp-admin just gives me an error screen.

    Renaming the wordpress-seo folder solves that problem, but that just means the plugin stops working.

    I reverted back to several older versions (3.2, 3.1, 3.0) but that didn’t solve the problem.

    What can I do to get back to an older version, or how can I fix this problem?

    So… If you reverted, and it didn’t fix the problem, maybe the update wasn’t the problem in the first place? ??

    Do you have any error logs from your hosting so we can get a clue what’s going wrong?

    Hi, I get similar issue though complete dashboard works fine except for few things on Edit post page. No content is shown both in Visual and text tabs and Yoast SEO plugin content is gone. I see only window but no meta tags or anything else. I have latest Yoast version, WP 4.5.2 and using point theme. Please let me know how do I fix this. Thanks in advance for your help!

    I don’t want the newest version of Yoast SEO… how can I get version 3.2.4 or 3.2.3 back?

    btw Latest versoin that fixed issue for me was 3.1.2.

    Had the same issue, this is how I solved.
    Enabling wp_debug showed a ‘fatal error’ in the otherwise blank admin content area, caused by yoast file class-yoast-notification-center.php in the plugin’s admin folder.

    There lies the problem. I simply downloaded a few older versions of our (beloved) plugin and found that by using that file from v3.2.2 I got admin area back to life.

    Enjoy the temporary solution until Joost’s direct intervention.

    I got it back to work by reverting to Yoast 3.0.7 in the end. Before that, increasing memory in wp-config.php from 256mb to 512 mb did the trick for some reason.
