Latest version of Yoast kills the WordPress editor. It makes the entire editor unusable and you cannot click on the liveview or text tabs. The WP editor basically goes to shit. If you turn off Yoast it works perfectly fine

  • I have this problem as well. I use SiteOrigin Page Builder on a Bootstrap 4 template. It wasn’t an issue on my offline test site. But migration to the live server was prevented by the Yoast SEO plugin. When I tried to reinstall it on the live site, my content disappeared as well as access to the page builder. Any ideas?

We reverted back to 7.9 and the editor issue is fixed but now Yoast is completely broken. 8.0 is a bust, clearly not Qa’d.

Have you tried performing a conflict check?

This could be related to the issue reported here. A fix is included in the upcoming Yoast SEO 8.1 which is scheduled for release next week. Once the new version is released, please update your plugin to the latest version and check if it resolves your issue.
