    I believe there is a conflict between the Classic Editor and Yoast plugins.

    Switching between the plugins by switching them on/off solves a problem that, when both are ON, causing the wordpress text editor to stop, for example, switching between Visual and text editor while Yoast’s SEO details/configuration/etc. is not displayed below the post during editing.

    Still no update from Yoast or the Classic Editor plugin developers?

    I have same problem but nothing fixes from both?

    Same problem here. I have Yoast premium still no support.

    Running another site which hasn’t had Yoast updated to version 12.6.2 and works fine so it is definitely Yoast that needs correcting. But sadly, no update to fix the problem has been implemented yet…

    The only workaround at the moment (without removing Yoast) is to deactivate the plugin while working/editing posts, then reactivating immediately afterwards so its functionality is only temporarily “off”. Not ideal.

    I’m surprised, given how frequently Yoast is updated, that nothing has been done to correct this.

    I’m also surprised no representative of Yoast has addressed the issue, particularly as paying Premium customers have the same problem.

    We are sorry to hear about your issues with the plugin. However, we are unable to reproduce the problem with the following environment:

    WordPress 5.3
    Yoast SEO 12.6.2
    Classic Editor 1.5
    Twenty Nineteen theme

    Can you please confirm if updating everything on your site resolves the issue? If not, we ask you to please perform a conflict check as instructed here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

    It’s not happening on all my sites, just a few. ut always classic editor is the issue, and all SEO settings have been lost…

    Using the troubleshooting procedures it would appear the problem is replicated only when using my current theme. So it appears to be caused by the THEME rather than YoastSEO or Classic Editor 1.5. Is that fixable – it’s the first time in years that this issue has arisen.

    @chiefbrody2001

    Thanks for those JavaScript errors! We see you have the errors of “Uncaught TypeError: Failed to construct ‘URL’: Invalid URL” and Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property ‘innerHTML’ of null.

    We have seen this on other sites when WordPress is setup to use relative URLs. Please review the wp-config.php file for something like

    define(‘WP_CONTENT_URL’, ‘/somedir’);

    You may need to comment it out or make changes to that such as providing the full URL. If you are not sure how to do that, please contact your host provider they can help.

    Note that this is an issue. Our developers are aware of this. In the meantime, we suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You can sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/newsletter/.
