Canonical Using HTTP When Permalink Structure is Using HTTPS
-
We’re using Yoast, and of course letting it control canonicalization for each page. I’ve noticed though that within the page’s meta data, the canonical is setting to HTTP, not HTTPS. I’ve cleared our WP Cache and browser cache. When I manually add a canonical link to a page, it updates it. But if I don’t, and let Yoast add the permalink as the canonical, even though the permalink is HTTPS, it injects an HTTP link. Also, HTTP does force HTTPS, so that’s not the issue either.
